Information You Send Directly
Search Queries
If you enter information into a search widget, the request goes to the outside provider operating that tool. That provider handles the query and returns its own results. This site's template states that it does not store or log the terms entered on our end; review the provider's policy before submitting personal details.
Messages and Contact Requests
If you email the site, the message is kept so a reply can be sent. It is not given to another party unless a legal duty requires disclosure. Avoid sending a case file, sensitive identifier, or private warrant information to this site; contact the court or sheriff that holds the record instead.
Information Collected Automatically
Like many websites, the server may receive technical information when a page loads, including:
- Pages opened and the time spent on each page.
- Device type and operating system.
- Browser name and version.
- Internet protocol address.
- Referral source, when a site brought you here.
- Date and time stamps tied to page requests.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved by your browser. Analytics tools may use them to count visits, see which pages are useful, and find points where readers leave. Browser settings can block cookies, though a site feature may work differently when they are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- To keep pages available and improve site performance.
- To send a request to the search provider a visitor selected.
- To learn which topics need clearer or more useful content.
- To spot and repair technical problems.
- To display advertising that may relate to broad browsing interests.
These uses do not give the site access to official Knox County warrant databases.
No Warrant Database Is Kept Here
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of Knox County warrant names or case records. Its content describes where a reader may ask for information through KCSO, the Criminal Court Clerk, Knoxville City Court, Farragut Municipal Court, or another official office. Visitor data is not combined into consumer reports about other people.
For an official record, use the office that keeps it. The Tennessee Public Records Act applies to qualifying government records held by public offices; it does not turn this private reference site into a records repository.
Outside Search Providers
Search widgets are operated by third parties. Information entered into one of those tools is subject to that provider's privacy policy and data practices. The provider controls its own retention, use, and sharing. Review its terms before deciding whether to submit a query.
Links to Other Sites
Links on this site may lead to KCSO, a court, a state office, a public-records resource, or a third-party search service. After leaving this domain, the destination's privacy policy applies. Check that policy before sharing any personal data.
Advertising or analytics partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites. Those practices are governed by their notices, not this policy.
Who Receives Information
The site does not sell personal information. Depending on a visitor's choices, information may be handled by:
- Service providers that measure site traffic and performance.
- Outside search companies that receive a submitted query.
- Advertising networks serving an ad on a page.
- A public authority when a valid legal order requires disclosure.
Keeping Information Secure
Reasonable safeguards are used to protect information handled by the site. No internet-connected service can guarantee that a breach will never occur. Visitors should avoid sending unnecessary personal data through general contact channels.
Visitors Under 18
The site is written for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from children under 18. If a minor's information is sent directly to the site, a parent or guardian may contact us to request review and removal where appropriate.
Your Information Requests
For data submitted directly to this private site, send a request through the Contact page if you want us to review what we hold, correct a detail, or remove it where applicable. The Tennessee Public Records Act is different: Tenn. Code Ann. ยง10-7-503 lets Tennessee citizens request eligible existing records from the government office that keeps them. It does not create privacy rights over this site's internal records or require a court to build a new warrant list.
The Office of Open Records Counsel explains government record requests, identity requirements, response choices, and copy fees in its Tennessee Public Records Act FAQ.
Policy Changes
This notice may be revised as site practices change. A new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Review it from time to time if you want to know how visitor information is handled.
Effective date: September 23, 2026
